I've been assuming that the benefits I'm noticing (tone etc) are due largely to the cup, not the rim. Is that the wrong assumption to make?
What are "the full benefits of a wider internal diameter"?
(I know the 17.00 rim of the US mouthpieces seems small, but they are actually larger than the 3B I'm used to! I was worrying I had changed too much, too fast.)
