I had bubbles for a long time, and concluded that they were in indicator of a lack of embouchure consistency. First, I paid very close attention to what was going on when they formed. It was on the higher notes most often, usually on fast passages. (However, I never got them in 25 years of playing trumpet, which requires much higher lip tension and breath pressure) Using a mirror and lip slurs, it took but a few weeks to stop them. Be cautious to not add tension to the muscles that would reduce agility or add fatigue. I am glad I took on the project, because now I play a little cleaner and those bubbles drove me crazy!
