Whether the F extension fits with the H section in place or not depends on its design. Dieter Otto made one for a horn I had some years ago that only fitted with the H in place, but that was fine as I used A+ for stopping more than A for avoiding transposition.
There is a Paxman Bb on Tony Halstead's site which looks as if it has an F extension which could work with either the H in place or not (if you look at the position of the change valve in relation to the 2nd valve slide). Stuart de Haro has some non-valved extensions on his website as well.
