The only notes that would be improved in 'the lower treble clef' (presumably meaning middle C, B, Bb ,A, Ab, G and F#?) would be middle C and the G below. Since the F extension's only 'in tune' pitches are the open ones of the F horn, all other chromatic pitches have to be re-fingered, using more valves than for normal F fingering. This is because the Bb tuning slides are much too short to give the required in-tune lengths when playing on the F extension.
