The eBay art ad is not a spoof. Apparently this guy has taken many peoples comments about how beautiful some instrument look and is trying to make some money.

I can see where he is coming from. The Oboe keys at first look like small whale tales to me. The specific advertisement mentioned at the begining is not my cup of tea, But I can see where someone might want to spend 50 USD to have a conversation piece in their living room.

I have seen people pay a lot more money for a simple piece of driftwood picked up from the beach. I guess art is funny that way.

I'm not sure if the 'sour grapes' post is supporting the artists endeavors or is against them.
