It may be a Lawson horn but it doesn't seem to have the ability to do a 'PP' then crescendo to 'FF' on the top C-to-B phrase in the Britten serenade. Those 3 bars are awesome on the CD with the LSO and Pears ('London' record company) when presumably Mr T was playing either a Krüspe or a Holton.
I can't understand why such a great player is playing a horn that plays only 'mf' to 'f'! And by the way, I have watched/ listened to the other videos on Youtube and stand by my comment. Why does he play such a crappy piece as the Rodney Bennet sonata and oh dear, its not a good idea to stand with your back to the poor pianist is it?
