No, not really. The bloke is a self-serving pompous prick who sold the rest of the orchestra down the river just so he could get a good deal for himself. He was the chairman of the orchestra's committee at the time their new contract was agreed. He helped push it through even though it made working life and pay worse for a large number of individual members of the orchestra but he is OK and can behave like an arse because they won't touch him.
