my opinion:

What on earth was Pinnock thinking of, hiring some totally unknown/ untried/ inexperienced players to record this, the 'jewel' of baroque horn repertoire, when he was used to working with the likes of C. Rutherford, M. Thompson, L. Greer, R. Montgomery, T. Halstead, A. Clarke 'et al'?
The 'new broom' seems a good idea 'on paper' but in the real world it's a very fraught and ultimately wrong-headed exercise. 'New faces' aren't necessarily any better than the old and trusted ones!
