Post subject:  RETIREMENT OF A LIVING LEGEND

My 'spies' tell me that the great, legendary PETE DYSON of the CBSO is retiring after ( what? 37, 38 or 39 years?) nearly 40 years of 4th horn playing with that orchestra.
If this 'breaking news' is incorrect could somebody please correct me?

Why retire so soon? Pete is but a child, a mere boy with decades of joyous rehearsals, concerts and tours ahead of him. Shureley shome mishtake! There are only two times to stop playing. Too soon or too late so the 'too soon' option has a lot going for it. I dreamed I played the horn last night but it was only a dream and a bad one at that.

Time to start what is actually 'normal life' now. Don't look back too often or too fondly they do say.
