Post subject:  Finding a PHC for me!

Hello fellow hornists,

I'm currently looking for an alternative mouthpiece to what I'm playing now and would certainly appreciate guidance. I currently play on an older 8d (n series) with a number of leadpipe/bell/valve modifications to make it a decent playing horn, and on a c1 cup (bit of a variation with backbore and cupshape) and a Giardinelli J rim with a larger inner diameter (around 18mm inside diameter). The cup bore is useful to me for intonation so I would like to keep that as close as possible; I do have sensitive chops and play on a delrin copy of my rim.

I would love to try something a bit more bowl shaped but with a larger bore for intonation and on a rim of some sort to match the cup. Would anyone be willing to point me in the right direction?

Best wishes and thank you for your time!

Hoss

Hi Hoss

I have an H24 cup with a n°1 bore here that I don't use anymore (I play the H25, also with a n°1 bore).

The H24 is described as being more bowl shaped. I also use them on an old 8D.

If you're interested, feel free to send me a PM.
