Who played the 'valveless horn' in the Mass in B minor at the Royal Albert Hall on Easter Monday? Anybody know?
There was some nasty sniping about it by some critics on e.g. BBC internet messageboards. They simply don't have any idea how hard it is to play that piece even with valves, sitting there for at least 45 minutes with no chance of warming up.
