No doubt many readers of this forum will be aware of the recent death at the age of 89 of the distinguished horn-player John Burden, pupil of Aubrey Brain and contemporary of Denis. There was a very nice, substantial obituary in The Times last Saturday, 20th November. A briefer account is here: http://www.british-horn.org/news.html

I always wondered who played horn on Sgt Pepper's!
