It's that time of year. Last night on the telly there was yet another show with astronomers giving their theories about the star of Bethlehem. I'm not an astronomer, but I have a theory, and here it is (not horn-related--because I wanted to give some shtick to the trumpets for a change):
In Heav'n th'angelic jazz band was assembled for a jam, The trumpeter's riff culminated in a mighty clam, A clam of great intensity that was in pitch so high That here on earth 'twas visible unto the naked eye. Astrologers in Persia checked their charts and said, 'Ahem, 'twould seem that, right on cue, that is the Clam of Bethlehem.'
A very merry Christmas to all! (And may you find a gold-plated PHC ZH-cup under the tree.)
