Quick answer. In 2008 Paxman told Tony H & Tony C they wouldn't run PHC any longer. Too time consuming. Tony H & Tony C formed own company, HornCups UK Ltd. December 2008 Tony H realised he was doing too much, Halstead Music, playing the horn, teaching the horn, conducting and generally trying to lead a normal life and left HornCups UK Ltd. Tony C left with two choices. Drop PHC which was without any stock and needed nursing back to life or having a go and setting out to rebuild the whole caboodle.
PHC Trade Mark registered as PHC. See link
http://www.ipo.gov.uk/tm/t-find/t-find- ... rk=2505749 PHCs had been marked as PHC for some time. Original name was jokingly referred to as Old Uncle Tom Cobley and all. A three or two letter name is used sucessfully in the car world for example. BMW, TVR, VW and MG (two letters but do you know what they stood for originally?) Morris Garages. PHC is set up to last long after Paxman has folded and Tony H and Tony C have snuffed it and been forgotten. Forward thinking. OK?
