here are some 'factoids' I've picked up about these horns (treat with appropriate caution)
- Geyer maintained the design has less 'kinks' in the airway than any other (even Geyers) making them free blowing and perhaps accounting for some people's devotion to them despite..
- ...a left hand position that seems awkward. I've seen it referred to as the 'Schmidt Claw'
- ...and a reputation for a 'bad' high Bb. This horn clearly has a good one by Tony's description
- some people have tried to cure the bad Bb by re-positioning the braces
- Conn and King made this design, some with a Bb tuning slide.
